Dry Chicken Fry – Kerala Style Chicken Fry



Chicken 1/2 kg
Ginger  garlic  paste -2 tbsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tbsp
Black Pepper – 1/2 tbsp
Sliced Onion – 2 nos
Green Chilli – 4 nos
Tomato – 1
Coconut Oil- 1 cup
Water- 1 cup
Curry Leaves

Preparation :
1.Clean the Chicken and cut into medium pieces.
2.Take a pan add Chicken pieces, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli powder, black pepper, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder and water.
3.Close with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.
4.This will allow the chicken pieces completely coated with the ginger garlic paste and the masala powders.
5.Now heat coconut oil in another pan and shallow fry the masala coated Chicken pieces.
6.Then pour the same oil (used for frying) to a pan.
7.Add sliced onion, ginger garlic paste and green chilli to this and saute for 1 minute.
8.Now add tomato, red chilli, turmeric powder, garam masala, black pepper and salt.
9.Saute till everything blend well.
10.Now add the fried Chicken pieces and season with curry leaves on top.
11.Spicy Chicken Fry is ready to be served!!
